今月読んだ本 (6-13)

27) 13 Little Blue Envelopes (Maureen Johnson)
突然亡くなった破天荒な叔母から、17歳のジニーは13通の封筒を受け取る。その手紙に導かれて、ジニーのヨーロッパへの旅がはじまる……。
……というあらすじを読むとすごく面白そうなのに、残念ながらいまいちでした。中高生のときに読んだら面白かったのかな。叔母さん、広く旅した人の割には各地に知り合いがいるわけでもなく、地元民しかしらないような穴場やお気に入りの場所があるわけでもないのも変だし。モーリン・ジョンソンは"Girl at Sea"も”Suite Scarlett”も50ページくらいで挫折してしまった口なのであわないのかも。
